The Vizsla is best suited for active households. Apartment living can work, but only if paired with an Olympic-level daily exercise regimen and plenty of mental stimulation. This isn’t a dog for a “one walk a day” lifestyle. Without activity, they’ll invent their own hobbies, like indoor parkour or unauthorized laundry rearrangement.

Sometimes, it’s not about the prize at all. It’s about the chase, the laughter, and the connection that happens in between.

Every dog owner thinks they have a feeding routine... until they have three dogs. And not just any three dogs — wildly different personalities who view dinner as a sport, a ritual, and in Mila’s case, a personal power play.

French Bulldogs are affectionate, charismatic, and alarmingly skilled in psychological manipulation. They’ve mastered the “intense gaze” tactic to earn treats, couch rights, or human guilt. They will follow you into the bathroom. And stare. Lovingly. Judgmentally.

I also learned that the journey is as much about patience with myself as it is with her. Because teaching a dog something as instinctual as where to go is frustratingly unnatural. But it works. Slowly. Messily. And sometimes, beautifully.

Nothing quite compares to Mila’s relationship with the robot vacuum. It’s not fear—it’s hatred. The moment that little Roomba whirs to life, Mila springs into action like a furry war general.

Life with three dogs is like living in a sitcom where no one knows they’re in a sitcom. Every bark is a punchline. Every tail wag is a truce. Every day, we get a little better at understanding each other—until someone steals a bed again and it’s back to round one. But at the end of it all, they curl up next to me, forming a pile of warmth, snoring, and drool. And I wouldn’t change a thing.
