Primal Instinct App Support
Welcome to Primal Instinct support. If you need help, you’re in the right place.
About the App
Primal Instinct helps dog owners better understand their dogs through:
- Photo-based breed identification (estimates only)
- Instinct-based explanations for common dog behaviors
Important:
Primal Instinct provides educational information only. It does not diagnose illness or provide veterinary, medical, or emergency advice. Always consult a licensed veterinarian for health-related concerns.
Is breed identification 100% accurate?
No. Results are estimates and may be less accurate for mixed breeds, unclear photos, or poor lighting conditions.
Does the app store my photos?
Photo access is used to analyze images for breed identification. Photos are not intended to be stored by Primal Instinct unless clearly stated within the app.
The app won’t open or crashes
Try the following:
- Close and reopen the app
- Restart your device
- Update iOS and the app to the latest version
- Check your internet connection
- If the issue continues, contact support.
Why do results sometimes seem incorrect?
For best results:
- Use a clear, well-lit photo
- Include only one dog per image
- Avoid blurry or heavily shadowed images
- Try multiple photos from different angles
I denied photo access — how do I re-enable it?
On iPhone or iPad:
- Go to Settings → Primal Instinct → Photos
- Select Allow Access or Selected Photos
Does the app give diet or nutrition advice?
If requested, the app may provide general, educational nutrition information. This information is not a substitute for professional veterinary or nutritional advice.
