Cocker Spaniel

Personality

The Cocker Spaniel is basically a walking, barking hug wrapped in silky ears. With a personality that screams "love me!" and eyes that could get them out of a parking ticket, this dog is equal parts drama queen and loyal friend. They're the kind of dog that will chase a tennis ball with Olympic intensity—until they forget why they were running and stop to sniff a daisy. Their grooming routine rivals a Hollywood starlet, but they somehow manage to look adorable whether freshly brushed or tangled in burrs. Inside, they’ll nap like it’s a full-time job; outside, it’s nose to the ground, tail in overdrive, and not a care in the world… unless you’re late for dinner.

The Cocker Spaniel is a loving, affectionate pup who thrives on attention and cuddles. Their energy is moderate to high, and they enjoy active play and daily walks. They're smart, eager to please, and usually easy to train—especially when spoken to kindly. Their luxurious coat requires regular grooming, and their alert but not overly reactive nature makes them both a watchful companion and a softhearted friend to children and guests alike.

"A comical portrait of a golden-brown Cocker Spaniel sitting upright on a velvet armchair, wearing oversized reading glasses and a paisley neck scarf. A small stack of romance novels is beside it, with one paw resting dramatically over the armrest. The scene is lit like a moody book club meeting, capturing the dog's soulful and slightly judgy expression."
